The work of information system in TH "Kopeyka" has been optimized
RDTEX has announced that the project of optimizing Oracle DBMS in the system SAP for Retail has been carried out for Trade House "Kopeyka".
The aim of the project was to increase the efficiency and reliability of SAP-resources, to solve the problem of low performance and data volume growth by optimizing the existing Oracle DBMS without any new investments into the hardware. The reason for launching the project was the rising load on the information system because of the growth of the Customers' business.
In the course of the project, RDTEX team constantly performed monitoring and analysis of Oracle Database functioning, on the basis of which a number of recommendations was made up that allowed to improve the effectiveness of SAP business-applications.
Among the results of the projects there are:
- reduction of data volumes due to the usage of Oracle DBMS option - Oracle Partitioning;
- growth of the system performance;
- decrease in the time needed for loading data into the system from 4 to 1 hour.
As a result of the increase in the system performance the level of risks related to the business growth was diminished: the Company's got the opportunity to raise the number of sales outlets without additional investments into hardware.
One of the project's important objects was to train the Customer's specialists how to solve the tasks of optimizing Oracle DBMS for SAP applications quickly and without outside assistance.
