RDTEX Introduces Successful Projects at Oracle TechForum 2008
This year's Oracle TechForum, Oracle's largest technology event in Russia and CIS countries, was held with the theme "Innovative expansion" and was devoted to Oracle's strategy for Fusion Middleware after its acquisiton of BEA, as well as the new enhanced Oracle Database 11g.
By tradition, the program activities included technology reports and the presentation of successful projects. Oracle Corporation together with its partners presented advanced development in the five thematic sessions - "Database and Options - What's Inside?", "Data Warehouse and Business Analysis", "Systems and Information Security", "Service Oriented Architecture, Distributed Computing and Business Process Management", "Enterprise 2.0, Enterprise Content Management, Information Management".
RDTEX, an official distributor and a master partner of Oracle, actively participated in the forum, making a presentation on practical tips on the use of new Oracle software products, as well as its experience in the realization of various projects.
Much attention was attracted by the report of Andrei Mayorov, head of the RDTEX Division of Analytical Systems in the session "Data Warehouse and Business Analysis". The presentation included a comparison of new Orcle software products with already proven products, and described their appropriate use, depending on the objectives and specific projects.
At the session, "SOA, Distributed Computing and Management of Business Processes" Alexei Zolotarev, RDTEX consultant for Oracle software products, presented a report on the project of a back-office for Raffaizenbank, which resulted in reduced temporary staff costs for the bank and provided a system of online web-access 24x7.
The implementation access control on the record level in Business Intelligence was the main theme of the presentation of Natali Surenskaya, the Head of Secure Applications Group at RDTEX. During the session "Systems and Information Security", she described the experience of implementing a security module for the corporate data warehouse at VTB.
At the RDTEX exhibition stand during the entire forum a demo system showed more promising Oracle software. In particular, RDTEX technicians demonstrated the functionality of Oracle Data Integrator, a new software product for the integration of information systems, Oracle Universal Content Management for enterprise content management with large volumes of unstructured data, as well as Oracle BI Enterprise Edition.
In addition, visitors to RDTEX's booth could get acquainted with the presentation "Organizational and Methodological Issues in Migrating Databases and Applications" on the shared experience of consultants at Oracle Consulting and RDTEX during projects involving migration to the new version of Oracle DBMS.
Besides the demonstration systems at the RDTEX stand, the forum participants showed great interest in the Russian language technical documentation for Oracle Database 11g (translated by RDTEX), as well as new courses at the RDTEX Training Center. The Training Center for recently added courses on Oracle BI Enterprise Edition, Oracle Hyperion, Oracle Siebel CRM, Oracle Content Management, Oracle Identity Manager and Oracle Data Integrator.
